Nehru Wangchuck Scholarship Programme

The Nehru-Wangchuck scholarship was instituted in 2009 with the signing of Memorandum of Understanding between Royal Government of Bhutan and the Government of India with the primary objective to provide opportunities for Bhutanese nationals to undertake Post Graduate Programmes at India's premier educational institutions.

Scholarship Offer

  • Full Tuition fees and other admission-related charges.
  • 50,000/- monthly stipend
  • 12,500/- annual book allowance
  • 10,000/- as one-time establishment allowance
  • Thesis/Research Grant of Rs. 63,000/- (for research-based courses)
  • Airfare
  • Health insurance coverage
