The Embassy of India invites applications around October every year for Ambassador's Scholarship from self-financing Bhutanese students already pursuing higher studies in Indian Colleges/Institutes/Universities/vocational education or Buddhist studies in India.
India has been a destination of choice for Bhutanese students wishing to pursue quality higher studies abroad, across all disciplines, including science, engineering, social sciences, humanities and Buddhist studies.
Applications for the Ambassador's Scholarship are submitted online at https://www.indembthimphu.gov.in website, once announced.
Scholarship Offer
The amount awarded under the Ambassador's Scholarship is determined on the basis of course of study, merit, and other relevant factors. It is a one-time, lump-sum award to those already studying in India. Student have to apply every year during their course of study.
To apply: Applications opens in September. Students have to apply afresh every year with updated documents.
