The Indian Council for Cultural Relations (ICCR) offers 3000+ scholarships in India under various schemes to foreign students from about 180 countries annually including Bhutan. The applicants submit their application on ICCR portal in March-May every year for studies at leading Indian Universities and Institutes - across a wide range of programs, including Diploma, Undergraduate, Postgraduate, and Ph.D. courses, in various subjects such as science, social science, humanities, management, engineering, cultural studies, etc. In 2026, sixty ICCR Scholarships are being offered to students from Bhutan who have secured admission through the portal.
